AFTERCARE/ POST-CARE
Results and longevity may vary depending on different factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare MAINTENANCE. Each client’s skin responds differently in their own unique way. The healing time and the number of sessions it requires to ACHIEVE your desired results and color retention may differ.
Microblading takes about 7 to 10 days to heal before it can get completely wet without disturbing the healing process.
Blot your eyebrows if they get weepy within 24 hours post-procedure with a dry cotton round and clean fingers.
IMPORTANT! It is vital for you to DRY HEAL as much as possible during the 10 days of healing. DO NOT USE Aquaphor daily. Only use aquaphor before taking a shower, and towards the end of healing when brows scab and get dry or itchy. Make sure during your shower keep your face away from the shower head or take a bath. Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area for 10 days. Remember, only a rice-grain size of Aquaphor. Less is more! Too much Aquaphor can pull out the pigment and interfere with healing.
The following must be avoided during all 10 days post-microblading procedure:
Sweating
Practicing sports and exercising
NO makeup on treated area for 2 weeks
Swimming
Hot sauna, hot bath, jacuzzi, or any body of water for 2 weeks
Exposure to the sun- sun tanning or tanning beds (UV/UVA rays)
Any laser light treatments, chemical treatments, peels, any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck. It can distort or darken/lighten the pigment.
Massage facials
DO NOT Rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and removal of the pigment.
HEALING TIMELINE + CARING PROCESS
Most clients require at least 2 sessions, the initial procedure and a touch-up 6-8 weeks following the initial procedure. The entire healing process will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on your body regeneration and age. The 1st session is to build the shape and gain symmetry. The 2nd procedure is to perfect the brow and add density. Your eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle as outlined below.
WHAT THE CLIENT CAN EXPECT
Immediately After
Immediately following the procedure you may experience tenderness and minimal discomfort to the treated area. You may also experience redness around the eyebrow area and possible swelling. Keep brows dry.
Days 1 + 2
There will be a significant thickening and darkening of the eyebrow area. They will look much more defined and sharp. This is completely normal and will subside.
Day 3
You may experience moderate to thick scabbing. Your eyebrows will start to itch and will appear thicker in texture.
Day 4
Exfoliation begins and any excess pigment from the procedure will fade away.
Days 5 - 10
The pigment will start flaking typically around day 5-6. For more mature skin types and very oily skin the flaking can take up to 14 days. If the brows feel too dry and itchy, apply a rice grain amount of Aquaphor on them for soothing. Keep the brows dry and free from all skincare and makeup. When the brows finish flaking it will result in a softer and more narrow appearance. It will stay like this for a few days until the pigment clarifies. This is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. When washing your face use a washcloth and wash around the brow area.
2 Weeks After
The scabbing should be done and sloughed off at this point. You might panic thinking all the microblading pigment is gone. It will resurface! Trust the process!
1 Month After
30 DAYS post procedure is when you will have your “final look” of your brows! The pigment can be seen a little better and you can see the defined strokes. You are healed with soft natural brows!
OVERVIEW
During the first week, the treated area will initially appear to be darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined than the final result. Natural skin regeneration occurs, and during the recovery period it is normal for the skin to start peeling, scabbing, and flaking. Once this is done, the brows might appear lighter than initially. This might give you the impression that the color is fading too quickly. The color will resurface! Often even with proper care, clients will lose original hair strokes which make brows look uneven. It is absolutely normal. That’s the reason why most clients will need a touch-up after 6-8 weeks.
Wild Heart Advice
Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 to 50 on your eyebrows. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly. Once the eyebrow area has fully healed, a touch-up 6-8 weeks after your first session is necessary to secure the foundation of the pigment. As well as yearly touch-ups to maintain results. If you want to freshen up your brows in between yearly touch-ups, it’s okay to come in every 6 months if desired.

COLD SORE PREVENTION
If you have a known history of cold sores, also known as fever blisters it's YOUR responsibility to take an oral antiviral medication (Acyclovir, Zovirax, or Valtrex) prior to any lip procedure as advised and prescribed by your medical physician. This must be taken 4 days before, the day of, and 4 days after your procedure. If you have not had a cold sore before, we recommend all clients take L-lysine 2 weeks before the appointment and 2 weeks following the appointment to reduce their risk of a possible outbreak.
Skin Conditions: A letter from your doctor is required stating that it is okay to proceed with lip blushing.
Optional: Take Arnica pills before and after your procedure to help with healing.
AFTERCARE/ POST-CARE
IMMEDIATELY AFTER PROCEDURE
You may experience tenderness, swelling, or bruising following the procedure. It is possible to experience a white halo effect to the lip due to the numbing anesthetics, which will subside within a couple hours.
DAY OF PROCEDURE CARING PROCESS
1. Use the sterile water wipes provided in your aftercare kit to gently DAB away any lymph fluids surfacing onto the lip. Use a light DABBING motion, no wiping. If you avoid this step, the lymph fluid will create scabs on the lip which is NOT ideal for healing. Do this in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
2. After dabbing away all lymph, use the provided q tips to gently apply the AFTER INKED BALM provided in your kit. Again, use a dabbing motion and not swiping. This is especially important when they start peeling, as you do not want to prematurely flake off the peeling lips.
3. Do this every hour up until bedtime. Do NOT let your lips go dry, and do not use your fingers to apply the ointment. However, Do not overdo the ointment, this can disrupt the healing process.
DO NOT touch the procedure site with bare fingers, regardless of presumed cleanliness to avoid the transfer of bacteria to the open wound.
The following must be avoided during POST-LIP BLUSH procedure:
DO NOT smoke (AT LEAST 7 Days)
AVOID kissing (3 Days)
DO NOT eat spicy, oily, and acidic food. Make sure your food is cut into smaller bites to avoid stretching of the lips.
DO NOT scratch, pick, or rub lips.
USE a straw when drinking liquids. (7 Days)
AVOID whitening toothpaste.
AVOID getting lips wet. Before brushing your teeth apply a small amount of ointment.
DO NOT use any soaps, facial serums, and lotions on your lips. BE CAREFUL washing your face! ONLY USE the provided ointment from your aftercare kit on lips.
AVOID sun exposure to your lips and tanning beds. This can cause the lips to scar and damage the pigment.
AVOID getting sweat on your lips. This can cause the ink to be pulled from the lips.
HEALING TIMELINE + WHAT THE CLIENT CAN EXPECT
DAY 1
Right after the procedure it is normal for your lips to appear darker and more intense than expected healed results. Moderate swelling and tightness is normal after the procedure. The lips will continue to appear darker throughout the first hour post procedure than final results.
DAY 2
IMPORTANT to keep the lips clean and moisturized at all times for 7 days! Swelling will subside. Lips will feel tender, tight, and dry. Anytime the lips start to feel dry, pat clean with the sterile water wipes or cotton round and apply ointment. CONTINUE to use the remaining sterile water wipes. Constantly apply the provided ointment.
DAY 3
Lips will start to lighten in color as shedding begins.
DAY 4 - 6
Lips will continue to shed and lighten in color.
DAY 5 - 7
The shedding process should be complete.
WEEK 2 - 4
The color will continue to lighten and darken each day. At the one-month mark the final look of your lips and true color will surface. Your lips will heal in three stages:
Too dark
Too light
Just right
This process will take 1 month from start to finish.
*For those who have a thin white border around their lips, it may appear darker (like lip liner), but will fade and can be corrected during the second session.
Wild Heart Advice
Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 to 50 on your lips or O’Keeffe’s Lip Repair with SPF 35. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly. Avoid tanning beds. Once the lips are fully healed, a touch-up 6-8 weeks after your first session is necessary to secure the foundation of the pigment. As well as yearly touch-ups to maintain and boost results. Please remember that individual results will vary from person to person.

Brow Lamination Pre & Post Care Instructions
PRE-CARE
Please avoid using any topical creams, serums that contain retinol, AHA’S and BHA’S for 3 days prior to appointment.
FOR BEST RESULTS, grow brow hairs for 4 weeks prior to appointment. DO NOT pluck, tweeze, or cut brow hair.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
The brow lamination is a 3 step process that uses natural eyebrow hair. First, the brow hairs will be brushed and coated with a lifting solution in order to make them more flexible and softer. Then the brow hairs are continuously brushed to ensure each individual hair has coating. This relaxes the brow hair giving them the ability to be repositioned upward. Creating an illusion of a thicker brow shape. Then an additional solution is applied to set brows in place. Lastly, Brow tint is then applied, followed by tweezing and shaping.
POST CARE/AFTERCARE
After care plays a huge role in the results of your brow lamination and how long they will last. You should expect the brow lamination to hold from 4 to 6 weeks.
24 hours AFTER appointment avoid water, steam, makeup, and skincare products on your brows.
After 3 days, apply a moisturizing serum such as castor oil to the brows using a spoolie. This will promote new hair growth.
AVOID retinoids for at least 2 weeks after brow lamination appointment.
